• Online Middle School Chemistry Resource

    Updated: 2023-11-30 22:55:14
The ACS Education Division has developed a new middle school chemistry resource, "Middle School Chemistry: Big Ideas about the Very Small." This free, six-chapter resource can serve as either a stand-alone chemistry unit or as a supplement to any middle school science curriculum. "Middle School Chemistry" uses a hands-on inquiry approach along with specially designed molecular model animations, to take students from concrete experiences to an understanding of the world of atoms and molecules. Share this free resource with middle school teachers you know.

I need urgent help with mole calculation.0.1 mole of ammonia reacts with 0.1 mole of oxygen gas to give nitrogen monoxide and water:4NH3(g) + 5O2(g) bsp 4NO(g) + 6H2O(l)What is the number of moles of nitrogen monoxide produced? I need to see calculation of it in detail. Many thanks.

  • Characterisation of Cy2(O)PH

    Updated: 2023-11-29 11:42:42
I synthesised Cy2(O)PH from the corresponding Grignard in THF and diethyl phosphite. I need to assign the peaks of the collected NMR. I was expecting 2 peaks in the 31P NMR (product and starting material). I can see my product peak at around 48ppm and no starting material (assuming all has been used up), but there are another 2 peaks in my NMR which I have no clue about. The 1H NMR is incredibly messy, which is expected due to multiplets and very similar chemical environments. How can I present the 1H NMR data in my lab report?I'#039m assuming that the additional P peaks are due to degradation of product with the water which is present[/img
