    Release of the new Oracle VM VirtualBox 4.0 extension packs have raised questions in the minds of some users that Wim Coekaerts seeks to put to rest in his blog on the subject. Prior to 4.0, he explains, there were two versions a user could download. Oracle has simplified the process by separating the two out and enabling installation through the "extension pack." The two classes of license are still available (commercial and PUEL). The result, Coekaerts contends, is a more flexible structure for installing VirtualBox and its drivers and one that allows for more modular additions as well.
